Mike started Sedge in 2023 to design landscapes that support people and ecosystems equally. He brings over ten years of experience to projects ranging from small residential gardens to large-scale planning work. His approach is grounded in site-specific thinking, native planting, and long-term site use.
Mike is a registered landscape architect in New York and holds a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the Spitzer School of Architecture, as well as a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. He has taught courses in horticulture, site planning, and landscape design at the New York Botanical Garden, Farmingdale State College (SUNY), and New York City College of Technology (CUNY).
He works closely with a range of clients—from individual homeowners to design firms and businesses—and values collaboration at every stage of the design process.
