The David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex at Hofstra University is a 93,000 square foot facility that seats up to 3800 spectators for basketball games, commencements, trade shows and large scale events.

Sedge was asked to develop plans for a new, accessible plaza space adjacent to the exhibition space to allow for gathering after events.  The square plaza design is centered upon two iconic Hofstra Lion sculptures.   Low masonry seat walls are flanked with native planting, and will provide space for graduation photos, moments of rest and introspection, and accessible passage from the arena to the nearby parking lot.
