Located in Brooklyn, NY, Owl’s Head Park is a sprawling and picturesque historic landscape.   Originally constructed as a riverside estate, the grounds were given to the City of New York in the early 19th century.  The city designed and installed a park with multiple playgrounds, open hillside vistas, and serpentine pathways under an established canopy.

In order to adapt this historic property to the modern era, we proposed a design that honored the classic layout while addressing the need for contemporary storm water management practices, vibrant native plantings, and universally accessible design standards.
